Battery Ordinance
Batteries are included with many electronic devices. In connection with the sale of these batteries or accumulators, we as a dealer are obliged under the Battery Ordinance to inform our customers of the following:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household waste. Please dispose of old batteries as required by law - disposal in household waste is expressly prohibited according to the Battery Ordinance - at a municipal collection point or hand them in at a local retailer free of charge. For devices that you have purchased from us, you can return the batteries/rechargeable batteries to us after use. Please use a sufficiently stamped envelope. We will then arrange for the professional disposal of the battery or rechargeable battery.
Batteries that contain harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can. Below the garbage can symbol is the chemical name of the pollutant:
- Pb stands for lead
- Cd for cadmium
- Hg for mercury
